This guy kept our $1000 deposit. He emailed a couple times claiming about $350 worth of damages. We agreed to that and asked for the other $650 back. He just stopped responding. He's kind of crazy. The pool was murky like a swamp. The "$100,000 Snaidero kitchen" is about 80% finished and looks like it was installed by children. There is a giant oil painting of the proprietor, topless, yearning, hung over the bed in the master bedroom. The hot tub is old. There is no stereo system. Not even a speaker. There is a "decorative" copper pan hanging in the kitchen above the stove. There are no instructions for it. If you cook with it, he will try to charge you $250. But it won't matter because he's just going to keep your whole $1000 deposit anyway. He will email you things like "why would you cook with the decorative pan when there are perfectly good pans in the cupboard?" Well, Dr. F (he's a dentist to the stars), because it's hanging over the stove in the kitchen and there is nothing written anywhere to indicate that it's not for cooking.
We later found out that a friend of a friend of ours had the same experience at the same house. They eventually got in touch with his "lawyer," who told them that he was filing for bankruptcy and didn't have the deposit money to give back to them. This was a year before we stayed there. And he is clearly still renting this house and taking people's money.
BEWARE! Do Not Rent This House. The Snaidero is not worth it. ]]>
