Up for sale tonight, we have a very unusual item......Its a RARE AND ORIGINAL 1959 SHIPPING CONTAINER FROM PLAYERS CLUB TOBACCO OUT OF THE U.K.......
The 2 long sides of this container are printed with "PLAYERS NAVY CUT "....With one end of this container being printed with the " PLAYERS LOGO " and says " NAVY CUT ".....The other end panel contains the SHIPPING LABEL showing this box was shipped from JOHN PLAYER and SON'S by the NORTHAMPTON RAILHEAD to NORTH HAMPTONSHIRE.........Oh! and the bottom panel is printed with " PLAYER'S PLEASE "......
The OLD SHIPPING CRATE is made of wood and super thick cardboard and measures 25 1/2" Long X 15 1/4" Wide and measures 15 1/4" Deep and features a wooden frame and has thick 5/16" card board sides.......
As can be seen in the photo's this container is in exc++ condition, but does have a couple of things worth mentioning.......There is a crack in one of the wooden frame pieces ( but that has no effect on the strength of this box )....there is a small gouge mark on one of the sides ( but it is small and does not go through to other side.......The bottom panel has a few pencil marks, but none of this is bad and I'm just trying to avoid any surprises for the new owner.....
I know I could tear this shipping crate apart and sell the 5 panels separately, and probably make more money, but this item is so unique and rare.....I would rather sell it as a whole and hope the new owner can appreciate this box in it's original state.....
The new owner must be able to pick up this container up at my home as there will be NO SHIPPING on this piece.....
