This is a beautiful vintage fine art lithograph by American artist Robert E. Russell (1933-2010, signed "R.E.RU//ELL") titled “Into The Dawn” which was originally acquired by my parents (the piece dates from the late 1960s/early 1970s). This artist is widely known for his Chinese landscapes and waterway-themed works, and "Into The Dawn" is one of his most famous pieces -- the scene depicts a Chinese fisherman propelling his sampan-style vessel away from a rocky shoreline using a long wooden pole, with early-morning fog-shrouded steep cliffs as the backdrop. This double-matted artwork is presented under glass with an understated gold-tone brushed aluminum frame which compliments the chocolate brown and eggshell-colored matting. and the lithograph itself, very tastefully -- the framed dimensions are 24.25" High x 16.25" Wide x .75" Deep. The entire piece is in outstanding mint condition with no sun fade or other damage, it is ready to be proudly displayed. All photos were taken by me in my smoke-free home and honestly represent the excellent condition of this stunning piece of Robert E. Russell artwork.
