Catalytic Converter Cage: Aerogenics anti-theft cage installed; includes original hex wrench. ($359 in parts alone) Extra security and peace of mind when parking in more populated areas/cities.
Rodent Deterrent: Ultrasonic & strobe light deterrent installed in engine bay (auto shuts off while engine is running or battery is at low voltage). Especially nice when camping/parked in wilder locales.
Solar Panel: Solar trickle charger keeps battery healthy during long parked periods. Suction cups for mounting inside the windshield when parked, but also works fine if just left on the dash.
Trunk Pull Cord Mod: Custom cord lets you open hatchback from the inside—perfect for car camping
Custom Window Shades: I've made custom window shades that are more insulated than your average reflectix, and look way better from the outside and inside (see pics).
Extra Thermal Insulation: The entire ceiling and interior sidewalls have been insulated with a polyester insulation commonly used in RVs and camper vans. This helps the A/C work more efficiently in the summer, and keeps the interior more comfortable in the winter, especially when camping.
Roof Bicycle Mount: Low profile bike mount on cross bars with quick release skewer that fits most bikes. Causes very little drag and doesn't catch when going through a carwash! Comes with Allen wrench in case you'd like to change or remove.
No major engine or body mods—kept stock for reliability
Why I’m Selling:
I used this Element while working as a nomadic climber and outdoor educator, living and camping in it while traveling for work. Now I have a full-time desk job and a lease—so I simply don’t need it anymore. But I hope that it can continue to be appreciated for the awesome adventure vehicle that it is!
