Job Title: General Ledger (GL) Accountant
Location: Carson, CA
Pay Rate: $33-36/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Assignment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Accounting, Excel, and 1-minute Assessment required for consideration
Perform full-cycle general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
Prepare financial statements and support internal audits.
Collaborate with the AP/AR teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Respond to accounting scenarios with correct debit and credit entries across GL accounts.
Assist with grant tracking, budgeting, and compliance with GAAP standards.
Support internal controls and process improvements.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
35 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
Strong understanding of journal entries, financial statements, and audit preparation.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, Sage, Shelby) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Ability to think critically, solve problems, and work independently.
Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn.
Business professional dress code (jeans allowed on Fridays).

Pay Details: $33.00 to $36.00 per hour
