Pay range- 10 to 15 dollars per hour. Roles include:
1. Personal care and daily living assistance.
Bathing and Grooming: Helping with bathing, showering, shaving, dressing, and other personal hygiene tasks.
Meal Planning and Preparation: Assisting with grocery shopping, meal planning, and cooking, ensuring proper nutrition and
catering to dietary needs.
Mobility Support: Helping with transfers (e.g., from bed to chair), walking, and using mobility aids like canes or walkers.
Toileting Assistance: Providing support with using the toilet or bedpan
2. Household duties
Light Housekeeping: Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, tidying up living spaces.
Laundry and Linen Care: Washing, drying, and folding clothes and linens.
Errands and Transportation: Driving to appointments, grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and running other errands.
3. Emotional support and companionship
Companionship: Engaging in conversations, reading aloud, playing games, and providing a sense of social connection to
reduce loneliness.
Active Listening and Empathy: Offering a supportive presence and demonstrating understanding and compassion.
Encouraging Social Interactions: Facilitating connections with family and friends through visits, phone calls, or social outings.
4. Care coordination and advocacy
Scheduling Appointments: Coordinating medical and other appointments with healthcare professionals.
Communication: Acting as a liaison between the care recipient, family, and healthcare providers to ensure everyone is
informed and on the same page.
Advocacy: Representing the care recipient's needs within the healthcare system.
5. Monitoring and general health support
Observing and Reporting Changes: Keeping track of the care recipient's physical and emotional well-being and
reporting any significant changes to healthcare professionals or family members.
Basic First Aid: Providing minor first aid and CPR when needed.
