I was given this bike as a gift. I figured hey, why not try to get it running and have a cool bike to ride around. I was told that it was sitting in a garage for almost a year and that there may be a couple issues with it. That being said, I got straight to work.
With many trips back and forth to auto zone I was surprisingly able to accomplish a lot. I pulled the Carburetor and cleaned the inside top to bottom. Replaced the battery a fresh brand new one and complimented it a brand new spark plug and new fuses. I pulled the gas tank off, drained it, cleaned it, and added a new fuel line. Drained the oil, cleaned the gears, cleaned the clutch, re oiled everything and put it back together. I was on cloud 9 ready to ride this thing. Unfortunately when I received the bike I was not given keys. They had been lost in a totaled car accident. Soooo... I figured i'd get a new ignition switch. Replaced the ignition tried out the new keys. To my dismay, the bike did not start. After a good amount of research and some tinkering around I came to the conclusion that the after market ignition switch was wired backwards. A new OEM ignition was too much for me to want to out more money into the bike.
All in all, I had so much fun working on this bike. Sad to see it go but I know it can be used for better things. No paper work is included but, we can write out a document if you'd like.
