Up for sale is this vintage Slingerland Gene Krupa Radio King black diamond pearl drum kit that was made in the 1950s at the Chicago, IL factory. 22" kick, 16" floor tom, 13" rack tom, and 14" snare and bass drum mounted cymbal stand. This may have been a transitional era kit as the kick drum badge is from the early 50s and the snare is from the mid/late 50s. The kick, rack tom, and snare all have the same black diamond finish and nickel hardware/hoops while the floor tom has a slightly lighter wrap color and has chrome hardware and a nickel and chrome hoop. The kit appears to have some of the original heads. It can benefit from the hardware being cleaned and lubricated, but I wanted to leave the original patina and let the new owner decide how far they wanted to take it. Great looking and sounding 65+ year old kit!
