According to my research done on this plate.....Calif started the trailer plate series with the 300000 series, making this only the 6th California Trailer Plate made in Calif in 1945......
Most of the plates were melted down during the metal shortage of WW II, but best of all this plate is DMV clear and can be registered for use on any Tear Drop, Gulfstream, or older Boat Trailer issued during WW II.....
I'm not sure, but the plate may have been painted at one time, as the paint just looks too perfect to be from 1945....The plate lays flat with no dents.... rusting.... or extra holes, and looks pretty darn good....
The new owner will pay shipping of $11.85 within the lower 48 states, with overseas and out of the country shipping to be determined by location...
